Treatment for a Post-Pardum Skin Rash Posted: 02-02-06 11:18am
I developed a rash on my stomach, the side
of my stomach, buttocks and upper legs.
It has been two months since I had given
Birth and the rash began with a single red
bump that itched. I have had the rash now
for four days and it is really bothersome.
I went to the doctors and they could not
diagnose it. They ruled out hives, food
allergen, and a rash caused by eczema.
Yet, after my pregnancy my skin did get
dry. I use curell and Cocca butter
(palmers for stretch marks) lotiion. I
have been looking on the web for some
answer and was hoping you could help me.
Does it have anything to do with just
having a baby? or is it something
else.
I think that this rash could be some kind
of allergy. You can try a corticosteroid
unguent for several days. If it doesn’t
help, you will need an expert opinion from
a dermatologist.
