I just had my baby about 5 weeks ago and I
was taking progesterone only pills (called
p.O.Ps pills) because I was breastfeeding.
I stoped breastfeeding about a week ago
and I went to my doctor today and asked
about seasonale, the birthcontroll pill
that makes you have only four periods a
year. I read the pamphlet and the risks
associated with this birth controll are
the same as with regular birth control.
It sounds nice to only have to have a
period four times in a year but isnt
that.....Unhealthy?
I went to google to see if anyone had any
side effects but I coudlnt find anything,
only that by taking the pill it lowers
your testosterone level making sex less
desirable and the increased iron in your
blood makes one more at risk for heart
attacks. I was just wondering if anyone
has heard anything at all about the new
birthcontroll pill seasonale and if anyone
could help me decide on wether I should
start taking it or just to continue my
p.O.Ps pills or just to start regular
birth control pills that have estrogen in
them.
