Peptic Ulcer and Symptoms Continue to Bother Me Posted: 02-03-06 05:53am
Is it comman after diagnosis and treatment
for H.pylori virus or peptic culcer to
continue symptoms of vommiting and reflux
especially in the morning. i had and
endosocopy and colonoscopy that were
normal apart from an irritated stomach.
And I was well for 2 months and then
relapsed into these symtoms.
Stomach pain is typical for peptic ulcers;
you aren't experiencing that symptom.
Helicobacter pylori (bacterium) infection
is a possible cause of peptic ulcers and
should be treated in patients with gastric
symptoms. It is not clear from your
question whether or not you were
experiencing a peptic ulcer. If you were,
the gastroscopy would detect it. Vomiting
and reflux can be caused by reasons
(gastritis, hiatus hernia, cardial
sphincter failure) other than a peptic
ulcer. Relapses are possible if there
wasn’t proper diagnosis or treatment at
the time of illness.
