Is it safe to pluck the hairs off your penis on the backside where there are hairs? What are the negative to doing this?

I tried plucking my hair when it started growing back after I shaved it and nothing bad happened but I was told that it could cause infection so I would do it when you were in the shower and wash it b4 and after.

Plucking hurts, I recommend just shaving. Or else i'm just a total panzy, but plucking the hairs on the underside of my penis really hurts.
