16, Junior, And Pregnant Help!!!! Posted: 02-04-06 00:19am
I'm a junior in highschool, i'm turning 17
in a month and i'm 6 weeks pregnant. My
mom and the possible "dad" want me to get
an abortion but I don't want too, I want
to keep and care for it. I want to go to
college and get my ph.D and I believe I
can still do that with a kid.
Thing is, I have to tell my dad!!! I'm
so scared, he's going to be so upset and I
don't want him to think of me as a screw
up. He's having health problems right
now and I don't want to stress him out.
I'm also not sure who the dad is. It's
either the guy i've been talking to for
about 8 months (and we dated) or a guy
that took advantage of me when I was
trashed at my sisters.
If it's guy 1 his mom will help me, if its
guy 2 i'll be attempting to put him in
jail.
(i dont drink anymore btw)
how can I tell my dad? He's going to be
so upset. :cry:
is anyone similar to my situation??? I'm
scared about my senior year, I was going
to take like 3 ap classes.

I am sorry that everything is complicated.
You can go to univeristy and have a
kid...You'll find universities have
scholarships and financial aid just for
moms.
You shouldn't get an abortion for anyone
else, as no one else has to live with that
choice but you. It's easy enough for
someone to tell someone else to do
something, but they wont have bad feelings
about it later. Since you don't want to
have an abortion, if you did because your
mom and the possible father want you
too...I am sure you will regret it for the
rest of your life. I am not against
abortions if someone wants to do
them...That's their own personal
decision...But making such a huge decision
for someone else never works out well.
I am very happy to hear you say that you
want to put that man who took advantage of
you to go to jail. If you can put him
there and are willing to do it your very
brave!
Anyways if you want to know a bit about me
my name is kim, I am 18 and 35 weeks
pregnant...I was 17 when I found out...So
I have some idea about what you are going
through! I was terrified to tell my
mom...My boyfriend said that he was
happy...But his actions over the month
have proved otherwise and we recently
broke up for good (we had been on and off
for months).

Listen hon, don't ever get an abortion for
anyone else. It's your body, your life,
and your baby, and you decide what to do
with it. Just remember how huge of a
responsibility caring for a child is. And
kids are very expensive - will you and the
father both be able to provide for it and
give it a good life? Have you told your
mom that you want to keep it, and if so,
what did she say?
It's totally understandable that you don't
want to stress your dad out - I know that
fathers can be very protective of their
daughters. He'll be upset, i'm sure, but
if you intend to keep the child, he needs
to know. And so what if he thinks you're
a screw-up? All humans make mistakes -
it's their nature. Your father can't
admit truthfully that he has never once
made a mistake in his life - if he did, he
would be telling a lovely lie because not
one damn person on this planet is perfect.
He'll be mad, but he'll get over it.
Perhaps your mom can break it to him..I
don't know.
You can still go to school and take your
normal classes all through pregnancy, but
it will just be a matter of how well you
will be able to handle all the crap people
will say about you.

Hey honey. I hope things get better. I
know how hard it can be to tell your
parents. I had my first daughter at 16.
I have graduated from high school,i am
married, we have our own house, and I am
in college. And people always tries to
tell me I could not do that with a child.
I will admit it is hard but when I look at
her I know its all worth it. I know how
you feel about being taking advantage of I
had a similar inncindent a while back so
if you need to talk about that or anything
you can always pm me on here. Hope things

Hey I am 16 years old and I am now 19
weeks pregnant I will be 17 before I have
my baby but I was in the same situation I
also want my ph.D and I am still going to
no matter what. Abortion is not the way
to go. You will regret it.You will start
to think about how would it look. How
would it fell. Dont listen to anyone
follow your heart. A life is something
that is so rewarding it is not a curse it
is actually a gift and when you actually
feel and hear your baby for the first time
trust me you will not regret it. Let me
tell you something I had 2 abortions and I
thought I would never had kids again but I
look ,god blessed me with one then I am
not going to ruin this one. The other 2
I regret to the fullest but you never know
what can happen if you have a abortion.
But I am telling you it will be hard to
forgive yourself. Just think about it the
baby didnt do anything to anyone just
being formed. I want to send you a email

so I can send it to you. Listen if you
are scared your mom is going kick you out
if you don't get the abortion please be
sure that you know that your mom cannot
throw you out. She will go to jail for
leaving of her child you still a minor.
