Getting Off the Pill.. What Do I Expect?? Posted: 02-06-06 12:06pm
Hi: I am just thinking about getting off
the pill. I have been taking it for
about a year and a half now and I am
wandering if anyone out there who has
taken the pill and stopped... How did it
affect you? I am most worried about
getting acne when I stop. I don't have
it currently and never have. Am I being
realistic? Thanks so much!

Hey, when I went off the pill I didn't
experience any ill side effects - I didn't
get acne. The only difference was that my
cycles went from 28 days to 23-24 days,
and my periods were a little heavier.
Hope this helped!

The first month off of the pill I had lots
of cramping (not period cramps, it was a
different kind of pain). I didn't break
out or anything, but my face is definetly
oily. It use to be normal to dry. I
had to buy some absorbent pads to wipe my
face during the day. My face also gets
really hot and turns red, which just
started when I got off the pill.

Hey. Im new to this and im checking it
all out because I have alot of questions.
Im thinking of getting off the pill soon
because I dont wanna mess my chances up of
getting pregnant when I want to. I have
heard that it could mess it up and I dont
wanna take a chance. I also have heard
that its alot easier to get pregnant after
you get off..Do any of you know if this is
true?
