Hi,

i am now 18 weeks pregnant. Last week, my boss hauled me into the office and removed me from my afternoon shift at work. I was told there was already someone in place to takeover.

To say the least, I was deveastated. She claimed I looked stressed, unhappy in my job and that co workers were complaining about me. Said that I failed to do proper clean up, room set up etc.

I went home heartbroken and barely able to cope. With suggesstions from family, I went on sick leave from work, who could stand to work in that without being pregnant.

I am trying to get my record of employment, to no answer. Trying to recover property still there, no answer.

Its very upsetting to me as I had no idea this was going on and felt everything was fine.

Can this worry affect my baby? I am quite anxious here.

Stress Issues....
I myself am going through a high amount of stress. Granted, i've always raised my voice and always acted like I do. When I do get upset, my heart doesn't race and my face doesn't turn red..Lol.

I do yell a lot though. My fiance' gets mad when I yell because he says the baby's gonna go def. I really hope that that can't happen! Lol...So far, the things i've read suggest that I wouldn't because of the thick vernix in her ears and the fluid muffling it.

For the past couple of days..My stress level has risen. I've begun to cry while being upset. Which I know the combination isn't good.

When I say I yell a lot...It's not everyday...It just a majority of them..Lol..
I've heard that when a baby is stressed it poops...Which isn't good at all either. Normally they become stressed during labor...Do you think that the factors that cause it to become effect at labor are yelling and screaming..Or just a stress that the baby knows its about to go on a journey and the uterus keeps pushing it down?!?!?

Any same situation..But now my baby is fine stories would be highly appreciated!!Lol...

I have been told that the stress on the fetus is hard for them to take. No matter how hard I try my stress level will not go down.

First I lost my first baby to being delivered too early to save my life and that along is enough stress on me now.

Second my fridge caught on fire and burnt up my kitchen.

Third I need to get my moving underway and taking care of....Buying a home is stressful regaurdless of being preggers

four my job as an claims examiner at an insureance company is just stressful with all the calls from the insured's.

I am trying so hard to just breath....But before I would have a beer and cool down after work but now that I can't do that (not the worst thing that could happen) I don't know how to cool down. Thank god my hubby is supportive however I don't even wish him to touch me right now. (poor guy)

Thats why my doctor put me on stress leave because I was so stressed out about having to go back to work.

I think mostly, my feelings are hurt. I am not a strong person, I break down emotinally very easy. Its been worse since I have become pregnant. I just wish I had been given the chance to improve or the choice regarding time off.

Now they won't return my phone calls and they have a bunch of my personal items.

Id go down there witha friend or family member and just get your stuff.. And if while ur there u see who u need ur record of employment from, ask about it.. They cant keep things from you..

Ive heard that stress is bad for the baby, that the more the mother is stressed out, the more the baby will cry and be finicky and maybe have problems when it is older.. I think everybodys stress level rises when they are pregnant, we are just dealing with things we normally would in life which tends to be stressful enough, and add a new baby coming, it can just feel like too much to handle sometimes. I know ive never been so stressed and frustrated in my life lol

Look at it this way, your hormones are jumping around, out of control. True stress is not good when you are pregnant on the fetus and you it is not good even when you are not pregnant we all have some stress but if it is getting out of control being pregnant or not you do need to see your Dr. And just remind him you are preggars, he can probably give you something but you also have to learn some self control, I realize where you are coming from, you are not alone, if you feel that they were wrong in laying you off because you were pregnant, I would think about putting in a complaint against them but then again we all know their are times that things happen for a reason and maybe you weren't meant to be their at that job anyway. Did they lay you off or terminate you?
Good luck to you and the bunle of joy to be!

I loved my job, working with children. This came out of left field. My doctor put me on sick leave and things have been alot better since then.

I am looking into options because what she did where I live is called constructive dismissal. The removal of a portion of my hours without written notice nor a chance to improve.

Thanks

Try checking with the better business bureau. They might have to compensate you---if they are in the wrong. Maybe doing something---without having to actually deal with those pple might make you feel better instead of worse. The .B.B.B deals with them--you just tell your story.
