I only have a diagnosis of possible ms. My brain scan showed no brain lesions. However, I have been doing research on my own and on the internet I found an article from the university of rochester n.Y. Case # 108 and in reading I learned that 75% of ms cases involve spinal cord lesions and that the spinal cord may be the earliest affected site in onset of ms. In addition, most acute symptoms are from the cord lesions rather than brain lesions. Cord lesions do not always accompany brain lesions; plaques in the devic variant of ms are confined to the optic nerve and spinal cord. This information can be found at www.Urmc.Rochester.Edu/smd /rad/neurocases/neurocase108.Htm and is dated 5/17/06. So it is pretty new information. I have scheduled an appointment with an eye Dr. And I am going to share this informaion with my neuro, and see what he thinks. :!:
