Cramping In Early Pregnancy Posted: 02-10-06 08:35am
Can the stretching cause a prolonging ache
on one side and at 5 weeks pregnant. I
have just found out that I am and have
experienced an ache now for 3 whole days.
Do you think this is normal?

If you're worried always check with your
doc. I had and continue to have strong,
intermittent pains on one side only. My
doc says it's okay, though. She said it
is stretching. When I first had it was
around 5 or six weeks and they wanted me
to go in for an ultrasound to rule out
ectopic pregnancy.

pretty much same thing happened to my
daughter in law--around 5, 6 weeks, they
said it was ligament pains. The
ligaments that hold uterus in place.
They have to stretch for the
pregnancy--and they hurt pretty good.
But myself I had ovary pains every
day--all day long-- for the first 6 weeks,
and off and on since then. Some pple
only feel them on one side or the other.
I felt them in both ovary's. And at times
they hurt so bad it made me sick to my
stomach.
