My daughter was diagnosed with having
kidney stones. She was in extreme pain,
vomiting on and off for almost 2 weeks.
They did a x-ray and found out she had 2
kidney stones. They told me they were in
the kidney and should pass within a couple
days. It has been a week, and she was on
pain meds the first 2 days, then we took
her off. She hasn't had anymore extreme
pain since before the x-ray that diagnosed
the 2 stones. The doctor seems to think
they've passed, however advised me she
would have the extreme pain again when
they passed. I have read they can sit
dormant for awhile before passing. She
still has blood in her urine when tested.
We follow up in a couple weeks with the
Dr. I guess I just want to know what are
the odds of her having this extreme pain,
while they were in the kidney, and yet no
pain while they pass? Could they still
be in her, and we'll know when they pass,
due to her at some point being in extreme
pain?!?! The not knowing is the hard
part. She is only 10 yrs old, and we
don't have a family history of kidney
stones. Thanks for any replies......

More pain and bleeding. We are hoping
the kidney stones pass soon. I would
like to hear someone's experiences with
