Pelvic Exam

Can a doctor detect pregnancy, five weeks
or more, by doing a pelvic exam? Is it
entirely accurate? Dang, those things are
uncomfortable!

I think u have to have a pee test or blood
work to tell not the swab stuff but I
dunno 4 sure I no they can feel your
uterus that way to see how big it is. And
yes I absolutely hate pelvic exams but my
husbands friend makes me feel better when
he describes have std tests every 6 month

yes they can tell, I am not sure how
accurate it is, but they can feel your
uterus and tell if it's enlarged a bit,
and if it is it is a good indication of
pregnancy. My friend was getting a pap
test done and she thought she may be
preggy (i was with her) and so the doctor
felt her uterus, and she said that it felt
really small still so she doubted it.
Then she gave her a pregnancy test which
came out negative.

Haha I know the question wasnt to me but I
have actually been in the room with a
friend while she got a pap smear...It was
her first time and she said it would make
her feel more comfortable ...So me being a
friend I went in with her...I dont think
its that bad...I have the same things as
she does ..So I dont see a problem with
it...

I dunno didnt even no what a flat or a
stud farm were til roxie told me a pap
smear is when they stick that cold metal
thing in ya and twist something to open it
up more so they can swab your insides and
send it to the lab to b tested for
abnormalities and stds and stuff

ahaha yeah but I didn't see anything, but
even if I did it wouldn't have been the
first time lol i've known her forever and
we're weird, she always changes in my room
haha. When the doctor came in I just
stayed sitting in the chair and where is
was positioned I was more facing her face
and she had a sheet over her lol.

Yeah I know the feeling. I am 36 weeks
pregnant and I have no friends left
basically...But lucky for me that
particular friendly is a really great
friend and she has stuck with me through
my pregnancy. She bugs me for being
"stupid" haha but she doesn't really care.
She is pretty excited herself, and she
comes over all the time and her boyfriend
brings me pizza haha when he comes and
picks her up. I just try and be as good
of a friend back as she is to me, after
all what are friends for?
I've basically learned that the peoplei
thought were my friends are not. I hope
you can find some true ones that help you
through this pregnancy. If not there are
always these boards lol not quite the same
as having some one in flesh and blood but
pretty darn good :) i'm almost always
online so if you'd like to talk my email
and msn addy is kimzsta
r@hotmail.Com
by the way i'm 18 but I was 17 when I
found out I was pregnant.

That's how most teenagers are...Meh I know
it sucks but there isn't much you can do
about it, they just don't understand, and
they probably wont get it for a very long
time, lol but wait and see, one day
they'll all have kids and be like "woah
how'd she do it when she was so
young?!?!?!" lol and then they'll want all
your expertise advise :p hehe plus they
may get over it in a little while once
they digest the thought of it. I think
its really dumb for someone to be so
stupid about pregnancy and babies but
sometimes people just need that bit of
space.
