Okay so in early november 2005 I went to
the Dr. To get the morning after pill and
get some b/c pills. I took the ecp and
then had a regular period then started my
b/c pills late november. I took them for
about 2 weeks, not too sure and I was
having unprotectedf and protected sex with
my boyfriend. I had a weird period in
december 2005 assuming it was from b/c
pills I didnt think of anything. It was
long but lighter then any normal period.
Well after that I was having alot of
unprotected sex with my boyfriend. I
missed my period in january 2006 so I
took a home pregnancy test it was a slight
positive (clear blue) and then I went to
the Dr. To get a blood test....That was
negative. I was happy to hear that. I
went for a routine pap smear about a week
and a half ago.....And a few days ago the
Dr. Called me saying she needed me to
come in to talk about my
results.....Now....She didnt say she
needed to retest....And she said it wasnt
an emergancy. What am I supposed to
think? Is she going to tell me im
pregnant??? I need help asap!!!

Maybe your pap smear came back abnormal.
I don't think they can detect a pregnancy
through the results of a pap smear (but I
could be wrong).
It is interesting that you had a positive
preg test, and then a negative blood test
though.

Well if the pap smear came out abnormal
what are they going to tell me?? If it
was that wouldnt they have asked me to
come in sooner then a week after they
called me?? What do they test for anyway
with a pap ?? Im soo scared right now.
Not to mention ive missed two periods
now.....Im a week late again. I havent
had a period since the middle of december.
Do they test for std's with a pap???

Alot of women have abnormal paps, so don't
worry too much about it. They test for
cells that may or may not develop into
cervical cancer. It takes years for
abnormal cells to develop that far so if
you are having regular paps I wouldn't
worry about it.
I had an abonormal pap test and I told the
doctor I wanted to have a baby. He said
that was fine... No treatment necessary
and I should go back and have the test
repeated after having my baby.
Pap smears do not test for std's. If she
suspected you were pregnant, surely she
would have told you when she was doing the
pap smear - and probably the same if she
saw signs of an std.
Because you have just started taking bc
that might be throwing your periods out of
whack.
Don't stress if its an abnormal pap smear.
They are really common.

I would think that if she knew/thought you
were pregnant she would tell you asap
instead of waiting a week so you were
aware and not take meds, or whatever that
could harm the baby. I could be wrong
tho....But whatever comes up, good luck.
