For a few years I have had some creased
lines on both sides of my inner cheeks and
in the last year or so I have gone to
develop something looking like a lizard's
tail on the left side of the inside of my
lower lip which in effect has changed the
texture of my lower lip (slightly swollen
& chapped). The nearest medical term
that I could find for this problem I guess
could be a type of mouth fungus if I am
right. So I was wondering if anyone would
have any knowledge of this problem and how
I could overcome it?

Hi Hotty Posted: 02-13-06 13:47pm
I already have. He gave me some nistatine
which did not work. That was when I first
noticed the problem. However I am going
to see a mouth specialist next week and
i'm keeping my fingers crossed he will be
able to help me. I will post the outcome
if I manage to cure this problem for the
benefit of others.
Ps- I think I know how this sort of
problem can occur:
there are hundreds of bacteria living in
our mouths; harmful bacteria and friendly
bacteria which try to fight the bad ones.
But the problem starts when we overuse
antibiotics which kills the good and the
bad bacteria at the same time and this in
effect will create an opportunity for the
bad bacteria to get a chance to attatck
our body. As I took antibiotics to get
rid of the h.Pylori in my stomach
repeatedly I think this consequently led
to my problem. So be careful with
overusing antibiotics and do not use them
at all if you don't have to.
