New Symptom
Posted: 02-14-06 11:07am

I've been having panic attacks for a while now. They've manifested themselves in different ways some of whixch i've controlled/moderated. Over the last few months though i've had a feeling of, well, to put it blandly, expansion in the right side of my stomach.

When I look down at my stomach it slopes from right to left. It feels tight on my right side and the muscles are contracted. There is no feeling at all like this on my left side. The worrying thing is that when I feel the side of my stomach, it feels like there may be a lump next to/underneath the stomach muscles. Its hard to explain, i'm 20/m and have a relatively healthy lifestyle. This symptom never seems to properly "go away" although it does die down every now and then.

Anybody else experienced something like this?

Hey mr. Max

i see you have new symtoms as well. Guess what? I have had the same thing around this time of year for 2 years now. It feels like pressure right below my right rib cage and stomach area. I have had x-rays and ultra sounds done and there is nothing. It is apparently caused by tension, and since this time of year is when people experience high levels of anxiety you get tenderness from the stress on your muscles. It wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor for an ultra sound if you are still concerned, but I guarantee that they will find nothing. You helped me in my forum and so I hope that I have helped you.
