Breast/pec Pain... Advice Please!
Posted: 02-14-06 14:17pm

For the last 2 months i've had a small, burning, off & on pain in my left breast. Its like a stitch, kind of pull type feeling. Right beside my armpit, upper breast/pec area.
I've been so worried about it and poking around doesn't help!
I've been to my gp who did breast exam and said all was totally fine.
I'm 32, she didn't feel the need to do ultrasound.
But I keep worrying.

Has anyone had this...What could it be??

Thank you, take care

I get that all the time! It's just part of anxiety I think...Nothing to be worried about. I get it in the same place as you, plus the rib and various other places on my chest.

Hi!

I've been getting aches and pains in one breast that my doctor assure's me is muscle pains. Since my aniexty has begun, I have experienced all sorts of other pains too. My newest is a pain in my left pelvic/hip area. My imagination tells me that my undiagnosed diesase has now spread causing the pain, but everyone says that aniexty can cause aches and pains everywhere. I started taking zoloft and can admit that my chest and neck tightness has subsided. I have also seen a therapist about my health aniexty and it has definitley made me feel better.

Bottom line, I think it is mind over matter.

Take care.

Thanks for the comments and reassurance.
I'm still having a hard time though.
Even when i'm not feeling that anxious, I still have that little pain.
I guess if my doc felt around and didn't feel anything, I should be fine ...Right?
I'm pretty thin also and she said she could feel all the tissue and it felt normal.
I would prefer if I had pains that were random and changing. Being in one spot seems to make me worry.

I wish I could let this go.
