I am only 30 weeks right now.. And recently have been having really lower stomach pains.. Mostly when I get up from laying down it hurts.. But I started reading up on some stuff on the internet.. And I was wondering..
Whats it like when your water breaks? And how do I know when I am having contractions? Cuz ive been reading that alot of women have been having contractions and not even knowing it..

Also.. Whats braxton hicks? Should I be experiencing this now? Whats it like cuz I dont think I have

Well the only one I can answer is braxton hicks, I am 30 weeks and I have been experiencing them, practically the whole time. I read that it is your uterus contracting (practicing) for when you go into labor, however they are not painful. You will feel a bit of pressure (maybe) and your stomach hardens. They say that your uterus always does this but you can't feel anything unless there's someting in there and at this point it will be the baby, the more time that goes by the more you will feel them. I guess towards the end they tend to be more uncomfortable but they should be painless (unlike real contractions)

I asked my mom about this and she said that hers hurt. She said that the only difference between her braxton hicks contraction and true labor was that she ended up with a baby for one and not the other. she said that her water broke and it felt like she peed on herself but it smelled differently.

I never had braxton hicks and the only reason I knew I wa sin labour was cause my water broke. Trust me you'll know when that happens. And once my contraction started getting stronger (after my water breaking) I was like "oh ok, that's what they are-lol"

My sister-in-law had her little one on sunday night and she called me 3am in the morning telling me her bed was all wet. She didnt' know what had happeded. (first child) of course all I could assume was that her water had borken....She was sleeping when it did. Then her contractions started.

I can't wait. 25 more weeks to go.........Aaahhhhhhh
