Hi there.I'v been epilrptic for 6 years now.Lately my condition has been getting worse, due to changing of meds.Today I have been having a look back over the years at certain patterns in my siezures. One bieng,i have been on the 'depot contraceptive pill injection' on and off for the past 5 years.I have only just noticed that I have suffered more siezures when I am having this injection.
I was just wondering has anyone else suffered any side affects while bieng on aed's and any form of contraception?I would really appreciate any replies.Even if it is just to say that you have suffered no side affects.
Thankyou!!!

I know of some who have trouble with having more seizures around their cycle. I also have read that some contraceptives can alter how well the antiepileptic medication works.

I have to say you are fab. Those sights were really interesting, even though all of the women I spoke to suffered more siezures around there periods.I suffer less when I have them.Strange!! :?
I am seeing my doctor on tuesday and I am going to raise the subject, see what he thinks.
Thanks again for replying and take care.Xx
