Pain In Very Lower Abdomen...throwing Up
Posted: 02-17-06 22:00pm

Lately ive been having a constant type of pain in my very low abdomen..Almost not even my stomach..I dunno where to describe it.. Except to say.. Around where my pubic hair starts is where it hurts.. And the occasional sharp pain "down there" ive been extremely tired lately and feeling extremely nausious all the time and throwing up.. Has anyone experienced this or know what could be wrong? I am 30 weeks.

Hi I was also on that same situation when I reached the 30th week its prob pelvic pressure but mine persisted so I had to go to the hospital as I have a history of preterm pregnancy.
With regards to tiredness, nausea, and vomitting did your health visitor/docotr checked your blood pressures lately? Coz too much of them 3 are normally symptoms of pre-eclampsia.
If I were you I would see a doctor immediately

Yeah I had my blood pressure taken yesterday, and the heart rate of the baby checked.. But I never mentioned this problem.

Is it still persisting? I understand what you mean tho I normally forget my concerns during checkup everything and health visitors seems to always rush (and temp memory loss during pg doesnt help much). But if its really bothering you and the symptoms persists you gotta go to emergency even if you feel like its mild...Its better to be on the safe side...As they say better to be safe than sorry. Trust your instincts and next time you go for your antenatal list all your concerns so you wont be able to forget them=) it works for me
good luck

hi and welcome to the forum and congratulations on your pg. Is the pain accompanied with a discharge? How long did you have this pain? You have to remember that each pregnancy is considered as unique and that might the reason that she didnt have this symptom. The simplest explanation would prob be that your uterine wall (endometrium) is expanding preparing for your baby to grow. I remember havin leg cramps when I was the same stage as you.

well if the doctors says its normal youve got nothin to worry about if the pains not constant then its prob the stretching. Hope everything goes well. The only pain relief that you could take which is considered safe is paracetamol.

Wow neeko I would def. Be concerned with how your Dr. Is treating you...I would feel totally disreguarded ya know?? But hey...Maybe everything is just going so "textbook" that you have nothing to worry about...

Maybe you should try writing down your questions and maybe talking to the nurse practicioner who takes your urine and blood pressure....She prob has more time to answer your questions...I tend to do that when i've been waiting in the waiting room for a while...Like I just can't wait to see the Dr. To ask him!! Lol...They're pretty informative when it comes to ailments in your pregnancy!!!

Try giving the front dest a call if the pain persists...They will actually ask the Dr. If you should come in or give you advice over the phone!!! Good luck!!!

Their are times that you have to be more firm with some of these dr's., not rude but firm and the other poster is correct, write down anything you are having trouble with or have questions about and just say wait a minute, you haave some questions that need answered, do not be afraid of him or her(your Dr.,). I had the same problem with my neck surgeon.
Good luck to you!

I think doctors tend to b like that, I go to a navy medical center and so sometimes I see doctors and others I see midwifes and the midwives are great I spent 20 minutes with one last time I was there and she explained things I didnt even ask about. Definately ask your doc and if hes still like that get a new one. I personally prefer women especially older ones who have had kids cuz they are more compassionate and when it comes to that day u are giving birth ull want it

Well, my doctor has delivered probably about 85% of people I knows children, some have good things to say about him and some have bad things to say... When I do ask a question, he does answer and talk to me about it.. Its just me not asking the questions I guess.. Which is bad.. But it just skips my mind..
They give us our "pee cups" lol to take home with us every appointment and we bring them back and when we sign in we leave them on the counter with the receptionist. After that is about a 2 hr wait.. Then receptionist/nurse weighs ya.. Dr does ya blood pressure, measurements and heart beats and ur outta there.. Lol..
I recently had a bladder infection and im wondering if maybe it didnt get cleared up or has come back and thats what causing the pain but im not sure if that makes sense.. I live in ontario.. So I can call telehealth ( 1 800 number) and speak witha nurse about it if it keeps up.. And see what they think

Havent Had An Appointment Yet
Posted: 02-19-06 08:33am

I will be 22 weeks before I have my first anti-natal appointment, they also forgot to do my bloods, and I had a phone call one evening asking if I could go straight to the hospital so they could do my bloods. I will say that the midwife was very nice and apologized as she said that I had got lost in the system, I havent herd what my results were, also she told me when I had my scan and said that I would receive an appointment in the post but I haven't had anything yet and my scan is on saturday. I don't know weather I should phone them and ask if my appointment is still ok.
