My doctor told me robitussin was ok to use
while pregnant. Before I saw her and knew
I could use robitussin, I used hot
lemonade or hot apple juice with a little
honey and drank it slow. That worked well
for me.

Yes....My Dr. Prescribed robitussin
dm...(alcohol free)...Little did I know I
could;ve taken benadryll to soothe some of
my other symptoms!!! I thought it was
listed as childrens benadryll so I didn't
bother....It was just a typo so I had to
bare my congestion and horrible cough!!!
Lol...I was soo pissed when I found out I
could've taken benadryll to help me fall
and stay asleep with a cough!!
So yea....Robitussin is ok for pregnant
women...And in your case it is totally
safe...

List of Meds That Are Ok Durring Pregnancy Posted: 02-18-06 15:49pm
Here is a list of safe medicines that my
wife's ob doc gave to to us:
fever: tylenol, extra-strength tylenol
(max 4000 mg a day)
headache: tylenol, extra-strength tylenol
cough: robitussin, robitussin dm,
benedryl
sore throat: chloraseptic spray or
lozenges, salt water garrgles
sinus congestion: decongenstant: sudafed
(after the first trimester)
nasal spray:
ocean spray, afrin nasal spray
antihistamine:
benedryl
constipation: colace, surfak, milk of
magnesia, senekot, metamucil, citracel,
fibercon
nausea: emetrol
diarreah: imodium ad, kaopectate
this list is what we were told was safe,
and we abided by it. You should check
with your ob but as far as I can tell,
nothing on this list is dangerous.

I am sure I have read somewhere on here
that women recommend others take it while
ttc because it thins out the linings in
your uterus apparently!

I have been sick for the last week and a
half and called my dr and they said that I
could take robitussin dm for my cold and
benadryll for itchy eyes and
alageries/sleep if needed. However every
dr is different and will tell you that you
may take something else. Just ask if
it's alright for you.
