I am 30 weeks and I think I might be
starting to get an outbreak... At first
it only hurt to have sex and to go to the
bathroom after, and that was all so I
thought it was my bladder infection.. I
am going to the drs tomorrow.. But if I
am getting herpes outbreak? Will this
effect my pregnancy at all???

Actually I thought the same thing. My
friend has .H .P .V and does experience
outbreaks. She also experienced them
right up to her delivery. I told her "you
can't have that baby vaginally he'll go
blind!!!"
because that's what I was told if the
antibodies from an outbreak get into the
baby's eyes! Her Dr. Knew about it and
said that she could give birth vaginally
and sure enough a week later she spit him
out vaginally and he was totally fine...
She actaully had an outbreak at the time
of delivery too so I was left stunned!!!
Lol....
I'm not saying that in your case you
can..But in her case she was able to...I
suggest you talk to your Dr. About the
situation...His opinion might differ from
her Dr.'s..
Good .Luck!

I had heard the same thing about
.H.P.V--and herpes. Not about going
blind--that would be syphillis or
gonhorhea(sp)--that I heard you could go
blind!!
Anyway, my daughter was in 'remission'
when she had her baby from .H.P.V--they
tried vaginal--last minute had to
emergently take her. But .Dr did not
seem concerned--but like I said she was
not 'active' at the time. They did
biopsy when she was pregnant--after they
told her they would just be taking a look.
Me and my daughter were pissed---they
could have caused her to miscarry.
