Hello, i'm happy to be a new member! I am posting this as my first post because it is a cause very close to my heart and my family.

My friend angie wants a baby, and is having problems. Please look at her website and find it in your heart to help her. If you don't want to help, I understand, god bless you all...

I'm sorry but asking for donations so her husband can have his vasectomy reversal is just tacky. She should just stick to ebaying her goods and doing the extra odd jobs to save money. Maybe you should suggest to her that they take out a personal loan. I wish them the best though and hope she gets her baby somehow.

I did suggest the personal loan and I helped her complete the on-line pre approval application this evening. The fact is, that selling her crafts and saving her money is taking a very long time and she feels like she is fighting time.

The idea came up when we read an article about a woman in new york who racked up her credit cards to an exorbitent amount, and asked for help paying off her debt online. With donations, she was able to pay all of her $25,000 in debt. I thought that was tacky. I mean, she still kept all the things she bought, while other people paid them off. But this is different in my eyes. This is someone wanting to bring a life into the world, to love and raise and be a mommy. It's not 25,000 it's only 4,000. And she's not asking everyone to pay the whole thing, she's just asking for help. We help people everyday for reasons not nearly as good as this! The transient standing on the side of the road with a sign asking for money, that you know is going to buy beer, or some other drug. Or money in the jars at supermarkets going towards helping to spay or neuter pets. While that's a good cause, I think that helping someone to over come their hurdle in becoming a parent is as well.

I appreciate the warm sentiments though, and thank you for your kind wishes...
