K, I have nursed before ( I have 3 kids) but I have never felt this pain before...The pain is on the under part of my boob, from my bra line up to my nipple....It feels like a really bad bruise. It hurts all the time, really bad when I nurse...Do you think this could be mastitis???Im gonna make a drs app, soon I just thought I would ask here too...Thanks every one who replies...

Keep nursing and pumping on that breast as much as you p.O.S.S.I.B.L.Y can!! I cannot stress that enough!!
Is it red or purple at all? Like it's infected? I don't know from your description if it is mastitis or not, but just be sure that you feed and pump off that side as much as possible and completely empty the breast.
I had mastitis so bad my breast was completely purple, hard, and couldn't release milk. I went to a quack doctor (military doc) and she told me to stop feeding on that side and take antibiotics. The only problem is that by that time it had abcessed, so antibiotics couldn't get in, and nothing could get out. Besides, the *worst* thing you can do with mastitis is stop feeding on that side!! I ended up having to have surgery. I urge anyone to go to the doctor as soon as they have symptoms even remotely close to mastitis!!
Lol... I had to feed my son off one side for 12 months (he was only 3 months old when I had surgery)
