Q: I'm Pregnant!!!

I took provera for 10 days, i've been off for two. I took a hpt this morning to see if I was pregnant because the cramps stopped. It came out positive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And not a faint positive, a dark, strong positive! I can't believe this. I'm so excited. My only worries are that I drank about five times since my last period to the point that I was drunk because I didn't think I was pregnant. I hope everythings going to be okay.
Two questions:
did anyone else drink on accident and had healthy babies?
Could the provera cause a false positive?
I read that it couldn't, but i'm double checking. I'm calling the doctor's office tomorrow (today's mardi gras).

Congrats! I just found out i'm pregnant too. Woo!

Don't worry about the drinking. They say disregard whatever you've done before you found out you were pregnant. As long as you stopped once you found out you should be fine.

Here's to a happy and healthy 9 months! (for both of us!)

I had a drink or two during both my pregnancys and nothing wrong with either of my children, my dr actually recommends having a drink here and there in moderation I have an article about drinking during pregnancy that is extremely valuable because the research they have on fas is biased ..

as well I did drink at the beginning of my pregnancy without knowledge and nothing came of it!

I drank for the first two months of my pregnancy...My hubby and I would drink wine or beer every night for dinner and so far there isn't anything wrong with my child, however I am seeing a specialist on the 7th to make sure that everything is going well.

Ya I drank a few times b4 I found out I was pregnant and if macy were any smarter shed be putting sentences together! I actually read in my "what to expect when your expecting" that they sometimes recommend you have a drink to calm your nerves during labor! I was totally shocked but hey if it works sign me up for that!

I just took another test just to be sure. I bought a more expensive brand and it came out positive within seconds. It's a really dark line like the other test, so there's no denying it's positive. Going by my last period i'd be 8 weeks pregnant. I don't remember ovulating in january though and we wore condoms most of the time, so I may have been pregnant since december (that's when we were really trying). Who knows! I'm calling the Dr. In the morning and i'll let you guys know as soon as I find out my due date and all that good stuff.
We're so excited. It kind of just fell onto our laps. We were totally not expecting this, but we couldn't be happier. It doesn't feel real yet. I guess once we tell everyone.
Thanks for all of the comments!

Congratulations! I always felt they should put a little alchohol thru the iv but no one ever listened, you might be even farther along then you thought, I had two periods before I found out.
The best to you and yours!

Same here! I drank before I knew I was pregnant and my doctor said it should not be a problem. He said that about 90% of women drink before they know they're pregnant. You can look at all the replies in this thread and see that he's probably right about that. Haha!

Oh mommy: when I saw it was positive, I screamed, "i'm pregnant!" and woke my husband up. I couldn't go back to sleep.
When are you due?
