Posted: 03-01-06 18:31pm

Well me and my boyfriend have been together for about 6 months. He is my first real relationship and well guys I have been with previously have been nothing but me being used sexually....Anyway lately he feels as if im not showing enough love towards him ... And we had a talk aout it and we worked some stuff out... He is the kind of guy who likes the mushy part of a relationship....And im used to giving guys sex as a way of saying I care.....Now I dont know really what else I can do to make him feel special....I dont have alot of money but what could I do??? To show him I love him?? Any suggestions thanks !

Some Ideas. . .

You don't need money.Do little things like this:
-just out of the blue walk up to him and kiss him.

-cuddle with him.

-i don't know if you live with him but in the morning b4 my bf leaves he gives me a kiss and says I love you.

-tell him to have a good day when you leave each other/ask him how his day was. . .

-when he has a bad day buy him a mushy card and leave it somewhere he will find it.

-cook for him

-give him a surprise call during the day

basically just be creative. You don't have to show someone you love them by buying them things, just let them know you care! If I think of anything else I will tell you!

I totally agree, you don`t need money to show you love someone. I think your past has just shown you the bad side of relationships they aren`t all about sex. Once you think of one thing to do the ideas will start to flow. A few of the following might help:

* write a little note saying you love him and hide it somewhere you know he will find it, he`ll love it if he loves romance!

* before you kiss, look into his eyes kiss gently and touch his face when you do so, its a very romantic gesture.

* make him a meal, write I love you with his vegetables!

* let him catch you have a long lingering look at him, if he asks why your looking say something nice " i`m so lucky to have you" etc

* get a little box, wrap it in pretty paper, write all the things you love about him and he can cherish it forever.

* collect some photos and make a little collage or put it in a little album and decorate the front yourself.

Anything at all that you have put thought into or given a personal touch he will love. They are the most precious things moreso than expensive gifts. I received a box one day from my bf and I had thrown out the roses he had given me for valentines day but unknown to me he had collected the roses and let them dry out. He then got a little box and wrapped it in paper, he put all the dried roses in them and wrote a little message inside. I will never forget how sweet that was and it didn`t cost a thing!

Hey pinksalter,i like some of your ideas! They are really cute, but my bf is not a romantic,he is like an egg, soft on the inside but hard as hell on the outside.I know he appreciates the things I do for him.

On my last business trip, my wife slipped a card in my laptop case, which I didn't receive until I checked in to the hotel and unpacked. The card had a dog on it that read "no you, no fun" and on the inside "no duh". Those little things that she does are far better than sex.
