Strange Lump And Smell Near Anus Posted: 03-02-06 16:57pm
I'm 15. I have a very odd problem. About
three months ago I started to get a small
lump near my anus. Well, at times it was
a lump, and other times it was an
indentation. It also itched back there.
Well it's still there, and there's also
some type of rash or something above the
anus. I constantly have a smell coming
from me. Also, sometimes blood comes out
of the lump, I think. It makes stains and
terrible smells on my clothes. It's a
brownish-red liquid. Lot's of blood comes
out during bowel movements. I don't know
what to do. Someone please let me know
what could help.

I have had a similar problem to that, its
know as piles, the piles are experienced
by most people both men and women in some
time of their life (although women mostly
in late stages of pregnancy in the anal
area).
The lump is a blood vessle or vein if you
like, where blood is restricted, the real
reason for this is supprisingly unknown,
most assume its the tightness of the
sphincter muscles or due to excessive anal
sex, others are that it is because humans
stand upright leaving the bloodflow to add
pressure to the lowwer part of the body,
similar varacus viens occure in legs and
ankles where blood builds up, the
condistion is not serious, however if the
lump ruptures and bleeds everytime you go
to the toilet then you must get it seen
to, due to the risk of infection in that
area, straigning whilst excreeting waste
is not reccomended at any time but is more
reassuring when the piles bleed not to,
laxatives should not really be considered
over the counter to softer and ease the
pressure on the anus so contact your gp
and they will offer a cream to ease the
itching and discomfort and releive the
swelling, however piles will go away on
their own after time and if it is a
regular occurance your gp will defere you
to have it removed with a simple and
painfree laser treatment.
Also the brown liquid that causes stains
or skidmarks in clothing is the bowels
natural mucus that the body excreets to
allow the stool to pass down the
intestines to the end.
All in all speak to your gp and don't
worry becasue most people have or will get
piles at one time in their lives even
though they would never really admit to
it, and they will go away in time and have
no serious affects to your anus. :d
