Rheumatoid Can I Try Anything Else?
Posted: 03-04-06 13:17pm

Male aged 44 years, rheumatoid sufferer for 8 years, married, 1 daughter unable to work, poor mobility.

My currnet dilema is that after 8 years of ra I have some small joint damage and high esr (78) . In the past I have had gold injections, methetexate and arava with very bad side effects. For the last 5 years I only had homeopathy for the ra which was treated at the hospital. But since my consultant left I had a very bad flare up and a dose of oral steroids and then a depo to calm it down. The rheumatolgist said I should try etanercept, but with my history I dont want to ( I had nerve inflammation for one year due to arava).

What other options are open to me do you think, other than meds?

Thanks for reading

I will try to find out the answer for you asap. Even if you do buy it I believe he offers a 100% money back guarantee. I'm trying to get a hold of an aquaintance who used it and it helped but I don't know the specifics.

Hey paul
I wasn't able to reach my friend who tried it but I did write the owner of the book. This is his reply.

Diana,

thank you for your email. No, it is not diet related, although there are some dietary recommendations for certain types of arthrits. Unfortunately, we are unable to reveal the contents of the ebook. However, I can say it is all-natural and has helped thousands of people to end the pain. I hope this helps.

Dearpaul,
ra is basically autoimmune response of body to specific cells of joints and subcutaneous tissue. The best way to treat ra is either through disease modifying immunosuppresants dmards like methotrexate, leflunomide or inj. Gold salts. All have potentially fatal side effects.Steroids are only of temorary use.
The best way is to try oral ayurvedic drugs like bruhad suvarna vasant malti ras. This could be easily available at an ayurvedic store.
Also you can combine bruhad vat chintamani ras.Take these from a good ayuvedic company.

I have seen many patients being benefitted out of this.

Hi
according to Dr. John axford, past president of the college of rheumatology and immunology at the royal college of physicians, uk, who has been researching and treating ra patients for over 10 years, the cause of ra is a monosaccharide that is missing in the body of ra sufferers. The lack of this sugar causes malformation of glycolipids and glycoproteins on the cells' outer wall. The immune system recognizes those broken glycoforms as 'not me' and does it's job and attacks.

Dr. Axford has found that whenever he gave the missing glyconutrient to his ra patients, all trace of ra disappeared.

He is in process of making this study avaiilable for peer review but he has been sharing this information casually throughout the glycome community.

Hey paul,

one thing you can look into that could help is bodytalk. It’s an alternative health care system that is getting great results with arthritis. They have an online radio show http://www.Bodytal ksystem.Com/radio/index.Cfm on wednesday the 14th on june and it’s specifically orientated to arthritis. It’s free so it might be worth a listen

cheers

Hi,

i took ra about 9 yrs ago. After a few yrs on anti inflamatories, I went on to sulphasalzine for 4 years which helped alot. I had significant damage to my elbow which resulted in having the joint replaced 20 months ago.

This drug is less effective now and I have just started on anti tnf drugs which seem to be reducing the level of flares and I am told will hopefully stop further damage.

You will still get pain from damaged joints, but as you know, this is nowhere near as bad as the actual active ra pain.

In short, I have tried all the homeopathic medication. Acupuncture, glucosamine, arsenico, chrondotin, u name, they dont work on ra. Good for oa im told though.

Stay positive, keep ur chin up.

Hope this helps.

Have you heard anything on the fairly new medication that .Sally .Field advertises, I cannot think of the name of it at this time and I do not even remember if it is osteo or rheumatoid arthritis that she has, I was just curious I cannot take anti-anflammatories and I have a nasty reaction from steroids. I have tried glyconurients and they were not of any help to me but we are all different. About all I can do is mask the pain due to other medical problems. My dr says that I need a majic pill or a pain pump.
All the best to you!
