Does My Cervical Mucus Prove I'm Not Pregnant? Posted: 03-05-06 10:00am
I'm really confused by my cycle, been
charting,
i've been trying to concieve for 2 years
(intermittantly I might add, so probably
adds up to about a year of trying),
anyway, now for the very first time I
actually believe I might have symptoms of
pregnancy, I woke up in the night feeling
nauseaus and the last threes mornings too,
and my favourite food - vegetables, taste
disgusting and all I want is meat! I'm a
vegetarian and don't like meat generally
anyway.
My boobs are bigger, they don't usually
swell before my period, which isn't due
for another three days - I tested but came
back negative, but I know I took the test
earlier than was recommended on the box
anyway. Is it possible to have nausea
this early, or could it be something else?
Pms symtoms are sore boobs, down mood and
aching limbs, I haven't got these yet but
I might.
Now, here is why I think that I am not
pregnant.
I went through a phase of about 6 months a
year back of fertile mucus of the fertile
kind, my partner and I tried every day,
but nothing, i'd get this kind of mucus
more than once in a cycle, now i've
noticed this fertile mucus again, today,
three days before my period, which is
really strange as usually I just get a
lot of thick creamy mucus before I start
my period. Why am earth has it just
suddenly shown up at this time, it's
almost like its mocking me, proving i'm
not pregnant? It's very stretchy, just
like I read in the book, and I havent'
slept with my partner in three days so...I
can't imagine what else it could be. To
produce this kind of mucus requires
estrogen right? Well if i'm pregnant I
shouldn't be producing estrogen. I'm just
confused because I can't chart my body,
it's winding me up, just like my
personality my body is all over the place!
Lol. Has anybody else had problems like
mine?

You really wont know until you test.
Cervical mucus can be really tricky if you
dont check it consistently and
continuously. Maybe you should test and
see what happends. With me its different
when I am ovulation I get little tiny
clumps and the cervical mucus stretches
about a couple of inches. I think you
should test to be on the safe side.
Good luck!
