Pain Under Sternum And Left Ribs Posted: 03-06-06 08:17am
Ive been having sharp pains under my left
rib and under my breast, it also comes
between the 2 ribs below the sternum.
The pains can be throabing aches but can
also be quite sharp, they also give me
shoulder and arm pains.
I have been to my gp who has given me an
ecg as I thought I had a heart problems.
Does anyone have these pains or any
advice?

my self all so, I would go to the er
swearing I had a heart attack and then a
little poodle clued me in. These chest
pains were only on my left side and all
incompassing of the lung and heart. How
ever after many tests, the lung doctors
said it was cramps from all the steriods.
I was like, nice guys for telling me. One
a sat, it was sooo sever I took some
perschribed flexeral and they relaxed and
then on sunday, playing with my new puppy.
She jumped (all 5lbs of her) on that
chest wall and muscle and it gave me the
worset chest pain. It was then that I
learned that it was muscle around the
heart and not the heart its self. That
was great to hear. How ever it didn't
make my chest pain better, it also
radiated down my right arm, but ecgs were
normal. When its bad hit the er, because
you never know. See a gi and look into
heartburn, reflux.. Good luck :!: !
