Can Insects Cause Red Wart-Like Bumps...or is this Diabetes? Posted: 03-07-06 01:40am
My husband and I live in Arkanas. He was
cleaning the flower beds and was bit by
"red ants", they caused wart like bumps on
his elbow and arms. Some person told us
that these are fat deposits and can be
dangerous to a diabetic. She mention
("hyglesurides" not sure if I am spelling
this correct.) Can you explain?

Insect bites can cause toxic or allergic
reactions that can be local or general.
All reactions create inflammation by
nature. You can visit your doctor to check
out the “wart like bumps” if they
don’t go away spontaneously after one
week. RE:“fat deposits” and their
relation to diabetes...I'm sorry, but I
have no information about the connection.
Perhaps you can approach your general
practitioner if you are concerned about
hyper/hypo-glycerides.
