Keep in mind these pictures were taken in the morning and the baby's are farther in my back when I wake up---and poke farther out when I have been standing. This is a normal occurance that happens every day--the shape and size changes all the time. Has been happening since about 18 weeks along. I can take pictures one hour apart and they look different. The majority of all these pics were taken toward late afternoon, after standing a good portion of the day. I would take more for accuracy sake---but my camera is out of batteries. For these were not in the afternoon--they were early morning.

But in the pics on the far right and far left the belly looks lower than before. And looks more solid instead of so full of water. Just might mean there is not as much water in there. I know I was starvin of thirst the few days around when I took these pics--the thirst has passed again now. Anyway, I was telling my hubby 2 or 3 days before this that my tummy had changed from my view up here. Didnt seem to poke out as much but seems wider. And I guess lower, which I didnt notice until I took the pics.

If the cause of the change, a loss of fluid, isn't that dangerous?

I had gained 6 lbs by august----only a little over one month preg.---then I had only gained 3 more until 1 1/2 months ago. Then gained 5 in 2 weeks, now lost 3 1/2 of those. So since august I have gained 5 1/2 lbs, since july 9 th I have gained 11 1/2 lbs. My whole body has lost weight, but my belly. That is one of the symptoms we keep telling .Dr. Total 11 1/2 lbs. And in the last 7 months only gained 5 1/2.

If you read in the pregnancy journals, and sites the babys have less water on them now. Like 6 cups I think it says. Around the 26 to 28th weeks is when there is the most water in there. But im sure the water could be somewhat lower when I have the thirst I have been getting. I have never been so thirsty in my life. And somedays are just worse than others--i believe my body just telling me to cram the water. It has been that way from the very beginning of this pregnancy.

take my word for it---the baby on my back is so big now, he can hardly move. And he is def. 6 weeks bigger. And like I said this is early in the morning after laying flat on my back for 6 to 8 hours. They fall farther into my back---no uterus to hold them up there. Nothing like a normal pregnancy--you all have to remember. 2 or 3 of the stories--other than mine---they say the women barely looked pregnant. I guess I was fortunate to show a lot. But it will never be like a normal pregnancy. And like I say it can change within an hour--depending on if im standiing or laying down. If you could feel how much of them are into my back now---you would understand it not looking bigger. Believe me I feel it all, inside of my body. I know it is strange. But true fact.

you're diabetic and I think I remember you saying that you are not taking any insulin. One of the symptoms that clues doctors into a diagnosis of diabetes is unquenchable thirst and excessive urination. If you are not controlling your diabetes this may be what you are experiencing not the more moderate (not to mention non-life-threatening) thirst and urination associated with pregnancy. For your own sake if you are not taking your insulin then please start. My mother (and half my family for that matter suffers from this disease) was pregnant with me and had diabetes. She took her insulin, and i'm fine. You may want to ask a doctor if it is safe for you to take. I would imagine anything is safer than wasting away.

when my sugars went back up--i started taking my insulin again. The dr finally told me I could take with a baby. They were 'pretty low' for me, until 27, 28 weeks and I started taking my insulin again when they went back up. Before that I was concerned about dropping too low, because they were lower on their own. And I have no chart--like how much to take--for how hi my sugars are. I just have a baseline amount I take all the time. I asked the .Dr for this when I first went in at 26 weeks. She never gave it to me. In fact she came back telling me to take less than I normally do---she went by my weight. So, after they rose again I knew there was no chance of going too low now, so I returned to my normal dosage. Thanks for asking.

Good, i'm glad to hear it. Diabetes is a terrible disease and I would hate to see one more person die from it especially if it could have been prevented.

Either your diabetic or your not if you take insulin its because its life threatening where insulin is much needed to survive or your borderline on meds. My grandmother is borderline diabetic and my husband dealt with alot of diabetic ppl while working with them in emerg. As for being preggo or not I couldnt care anymore but honestly you need to see a dr always making excuse joanna!

well.....I dont think over 600 is borderline. And my sugars were under 300 until 27, 28 weeks(which is good for me) for what ever reason. And if I took---the insulin I need for the 500, 600, levels when I am only 300, it could have went too low. And it makes me feel like I could die. And next would be an insulin coma. I do not make excuses---keep your opinions to yourself, if that is all you can say. My health is very important to me. I have reasons for all I do. I didnt even know if I could take the insulin with a baby and no one would tell me. I asked about my meds every time I went in---no one would help me--that is the reason I went to the dr--excuses??? You can believe or not. But not slander me!!!!!

The online pregnancy places say the placenta lowers blood pressure and blood sugars. (which it did for me--believe or not!) and around 27, 28 weeks it will climb again, cuz placenta quits helping by then. That is why they test all women for gestational diabeties at that weeks gestation.

As a matter of fact the only help I got until 27, 28 weeks was the online pregnancy sites and it told me .N.O.T to use the insulin after 12 weeks--which is when I stopped taking it. Then it told me it would rise again around 27, 28 weeks and it did.

As long as you are taking the insulin now, then that's all that matters.

Hun I don't think anyone is trying to slander you on here. They are just concerned thats all. Don't take this wrong but I thought if your blood sugar is over 500 that is a critical high. Just be safe. We do believe you, we just want you to have a healthy pregnacy. Good luck with the last few weeks of you pregnancy.

everyone has been really nice lately--but she was saying I didnt care about my health, that I was making excuses. She is wrong to assume that. Far from true.
