Tension, Sinus Or Glasses Prescription?
Posted: 03-08-06 13:04pm

Hi everyone! I'm new here and want to know if anyone has experienced what I am right now. My headache started out as feeling like a tension headache, just woke up with it one sat. Morning. Had it for a week, til Dr. Gave me shot of demerol, knocked it out in two days. Good for one week, then it came back. This time for two weeks. I do get migraine with aura but this does not feel like that. Tried relpax, maxalt, vicodin and midrin. Currently taking amitriptyline (sp?). I have had the best sleep since I was a teenager on this med, but still have headache. Changed from tension to above forhead. Sore to the touch. Seems to get worse as the day goes on and the more I focus on one thing, i.E. Computer, reading...Etc....Thinking maybe eye prescription has changed. I'm going to eye Dr. Tomorrow and for mri on friday. Any advice or wisdom???Sorry this is so long. Thanks for reading.

Hi:

if I had to guess, I would probably think that you wre having sinus problems. I was very concerned about headaches I had been having everday for about three weeks. I am 20 and never have had hardly a headache in my life so I was very worried. But it turned out that I have sinusitis from a cold I had a few weeks before. And it was just like you described. It was in my forehead, and felt like pressure in my head. Now my cheeks are kinda sore to touch since the infection is in the sinuses in my cheek. You have sinuses all over in your cheeks around your nose, by your eyes, and in your forehead. It can be treated with antibiotics and some other stuff and usually isn't too bad of a deal unless it becomes chronic, even then it is usually correctable. I hope this helps. Try not to worry too much. Good luck with everything!
