I agree. It is different for each person.
I was on the pill for 12 years. When my
husband and I married I went off the pill
for that year. Nothing happened. We then
split in february 2005, divorced in april
2005. I went back on the pill in march
2005. I then went off the pill again in
july 2005 with my new husband. I had my
period the week of july 12. I was
supposed to start my new pack of pills
after that, around july 16. I didn't
start them again, because new hubby and I
decided to have kids right away, and
figured since nothing happened the year I
was off the pill that it would take awhile
to get pregnant. Not. I got pregnant
that very month.
For others it has taken up to a year, or
more, for them to get pregnant. So it is
indeed different for each person. I know
I am very fertile, so maybe that is why it
happened immediately for me.

I was on birth control pills for 8 years.
I stopped taking them and became pregnant
a week after I stopped. I am 16 weeks
now. I guess it must be different for
everybody. Maybe you are more fertile
right after you stop?? The doctors say to
wait 2 -3 months after stopping, but I
have not seen any valid information that
proves it is unsafe to pregnant right
after. Good luck!

They say you ovulate 14 days from the
first day of you period, if you have a
normal period. Some women can get
pregnant right away and other women it can
take 3 months or more to even ovulate
after stopping birth control. I agree
with macysmama to try ovulation strips.
I just stopped my bc in nov 05 and started
ttc in jan and my periods have been wacky
since jan. So I am gonna try the
ovulation strips to this month. Good
luck and keep us posted. *baby dust to
