Why Am I Unapproachable???? Posted: 03-08-06 19:49pm
Hi all,
a little help would be great from anyone
who could give it. Recently I was out
with my sister when eventually this guy
came up to me and started chatting for
some reason he said that he was unsure
whether to come up to me as he thought I
looked unapproachable! I asked him why he
thought that and he said I just thought u
looked like u didn`t want to talk to
anyone! So I said do u think that now and
he said no I was wrong about that.
The thing is i`ve heard things like this
off people before, but how am I possibly
being unapproachable. I don`t stand in a
way that looks stand offish or that i`m
looking down on anyone. I`m just not like
that. My male friends say if they were to
come talk to me they would feel
intimidated. I do a bit of modelling so
i`m not completely horrid to the eye but I
never get guys approaching me or asking me
out unless they are paraletically drunk.
What am I doing wrong?

The only thing it could be is your body
language I think.
If you hunch your shoulders, turn your
back on prospective guys or look at the
floor this will instantly send a negative
signal to the guy probably telling him
your not interested.
Another thing is making eye contact.. If
a girl makes eye contact at me it
instantly makes them more approachable..
Just extend it half a second over what wud
normally be just gazing around a room.
This will ensure that its long enough but
not so long that they thing ur interested
in them... After all you wanna be in the
position of power (guys have things they
can do to be in power too of course!)
most beautiful girls that get all the guys
approaching them give positive signals to
loads of guys even if theyre not
interested- so the guys will approach
them, sumtimes girls even do it
subconciously then complain that theyre
being approached too much. If a girl says
she cant stop guys approaching her then
shes lying. Because if your that
beautiful you will intimidate most guys
and u will have to give them some signals
before they will be confident enough to
approach (on most occasions)
thats my opinion on the matter anyway!

Well thank you for your input on the
matter, it makes sense what your saying.
I am quite a shy person especially when it
comes to guys. I like a guy but I dunno
what to do, I don`t see him very often so
I know I will have to make my move next
time I see him. We have kissed before on
a couple of occassions so I think he likes
me.
What do I say that makes it obvious I like
him ( remember i`m shy and pretty rubbish
at this kind of thing!)
thanks

many guys can be quite
dense, so unless you straight out said "i
like you..." they wouldn't get it. You
can just casually say "i like you" as in
friend or personwise, not necesarily like
like wise. And leave at that. Or maybe
he might ask if you like him, that'd be
easier. Maybe you could hope he'd ask
that....

I am also always unapproachable, I don't
understand..I know it deals with my
height, appearance and looks.
