Need to Urinate but Can't: Bladder or Urinary Infection?
Posted: 03-11-06 23:36pm

my daughter has been having trouble urinating. this problem comes and goes. she has been having this problem for over a year. she feels the urge to go to the restroom but just can't. during the summer i thought it could be a bladder infection because of being in the pool so often. any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Your daughter probably has some type of recurrent urinary infection. Urinary infections are more frequent in women then men. You can bring her to a doctor's office for a urine analyses. A proper antibiotic will be probably be prescribed. Another urinary analysis after antibiotic therapy is correct procedure to confirm the prescence/absence of a possible infection after treatment.
