I have boil on my back that will not drain
no matter what I do. My husband was
treated a few months ago for a boil and
his boil has returned but in a different
area of his body is there somethind
infectious in our blood that keep this
condition continuing or is there some
thing we can do at home to help with the
problem
Infection of a hair root is called
"furunculus", or a boil. Furunculus can
develop any place on the body where there
are hairs (therefore excluding the hands
and the feet). People that suffer from
diabetes are susceptible to multiple
furuncles. Therefore, I recommend you
check your blood sugar level to exclude or
confirm this possibility. Overweight
people are also susceptible to developing
furuncles. Hygiene of the body is also
very important. Furunculus is treated with
antibiotics and/or surgically via an
incision that extracts pus from the root.
Furunculus on the face (nose, upper lip)
can be potentially very dangerous and is
treated in the hospital.
