Just In My Head??

Hey everyone:) okay, I wasn't sure if I
should post this here or on the birth
control forum, so I just decided to give
it a shot here first. I am kind of
freaking out at the moment and need a
little re insurance from you guys. First
let me tell you that I am 19 years old and
have a 7 month old little boy so, as you
can imagine, I have no desire to have
another child any time soon. Okay, here
is my situation... And please don't flip
out on me and tell me that i'm crazy:) I
am currently taking the oral contraceptive
camila. I started these pills the sunday
before this past sunday (the sunday of my
period). My husband and I were a little
nervous about starting a birth control and
not using condoms because I was on the
pill ovcon 35 when I became pregnant with
my son. So, I read .A.L.L of the
instructions and we began having
unprotected sex 48 hours after I took the
first pill. After we had sex that night,
I went to take a bath and noticed a
"sticking" feeling inside my vagina. Out
of curiousity, I felt around inside of
there and noticed that my cervix was hard
and very opened. The thought that maybe I
was ovulating and had just became pregnant
jumped right into my mind. I finally
talked myself out of that until the day
before yesterday when I started to have
diarreah without cramping and the urge to
pee all of the time. I know it sounds
crazy (and i'm sure you all will say it
is) but this is exactly what happened when
I got pregnant with my son. I got
diarreah around the first week or so that
I was pregnant and I had to pee alot for
some reason (i guess it was just my body
changing or something). Also, I have that
feeling, ya know that "i know that I
pregant" feeling, just like with my first
one. I thought that maybe these were just
side effects of the birth control pills
but I read and found nothing about dirreah
or the urge to pee. My heart is beating
out of my chest just thinking about it
because we can't have another baby right
now! I just need someone to talk to about
this and like I said before, a little re
insurance. What should I do? Is it just
in my head because I became pregnant on
the pill before or is it possible that I
am pregnant agian? Thanks so much guys!

you said you can't have another kid now,
so I was trying to cover all the bases. I
think it's probably too late for the
morning-after pill, so it's crossing your
fingers and hoping, I suppose.
Good luck on the not being knocked up.

Hi candykissedmoma
i haven't taken the pill for a few years
so my information might be out of date,
but I thought you had to wait at least a
week before the pill was safe? Probably
different with different brands too.
Did you take it on the first day of your
period....? If not, then maybe you were
too close to ovaulation to stop it.
I hope it all works out ok for you. Maybe
you are worrying about nothing.
Best wishes, sandy

I'm glad you think it's funny! It's so
not! This is scary stuff! Thanks for the
"good luck"! You didn't help at all...
Maybe made things a little worse. I'm not
tryin to health forum at you, I just think
that maybe you should pick your words a
little more carefully!

hey! The instructions say (and i'm
reading it right now) "it is best to take
your first pill on the first day of your
menstrual period. If you decide to take
your first pill on another day, use a
backup method everytime you have sex for
the next 48 hours." that means it was okay
to have sex un protected sex 48 hours
later right?
Okay, now to answer your other question,
my doctor told me to start the pills on
the sunday of my period so that is what I
did, which was the sunday b4 this past.
Thanks so much for replying and being so
nice:)

I would think the information on the pack
would be right. Maybe the discharge is
a side effect from the pill. For me,
pregnancy symptoms were just the same as
being pre-menstural- so I couldn't really
tell.
I guess the other thing i'm wondering is
do you think you really ovulated 48 hours
after your period ended? ( you said you
took your pill on the sunday of your
period). I know some women have
irregular cycles like that.
Regards, sandy

hours like it said they should:)

i'v read that you ovulate something like 2
weeks after your period but the thing that
worries me is, this is how it happended
with my last pregnancy... I had just
eneded my period and began my pills.
But, one of the reasons for me starting my
pills (not the current pills but the ones
I became pregnant on) was beause my period
was irregular and the doc said that the
pills would help fix that. My period have
been normal ever since my son was born so,
maybe you are right... Maybe it wasn't
possible for me to be ovulating so soon
after period. I hope you are right!
Thanks for the encouragement!:)

Does anyone know if your cervix is
normally hard and opened during
ovulation?? That would be nice to know,
since mine was. Thanks!

For most, if not all birth control pills,
you must take them for a week before
having unprotected sex, so there's a
chance.

Wish I could help you but I don't know too
much about bc. I do however know people
like you who became pregnant while on
birth control. I would say that it is a
possibility but then again I think that
maybe you're just stressing out....

Just because you have dirreah have to pee
a lot doesn't mean that your preggers. I
would hate having to pee every 20 mins or
so. But if you had those during your
first pregnancy you may be pregnant. I
didnt' start peeing a lot until I started
getting big. You may have an infection
like a uti or some thing like that.
As far as knowing what my cervix is like
when I am ovulating....Ummm I don't really
think that I have touched it. Never
really tried. You may need to ask your
doctor about that one.
