cervix is normally soft, swollen, and
closed if the fertilisation
succeded. |
so, you are saying that if the sperm
reached the egg and the women is pregnant
then the cervix becomes soft, swollen, and
closed right? Just want to get this
straight:) thanks for posting this useful

I think it shuts tight so that nothing can

did you ask your doctor what the problem

if pregnancy/menstruation or other
hormonal alterations occur its normally
swollen and soft. Its shut during
pregnancy to prevent any infection that
might enter the womb

Sunflower_pie, I noticed you said you got
prego on the pill and then the patch. I
was wondering, did you have early periods
or anything on the pill before finding out
you were pregnant? I've been on the pill
(ortho tri-cyclen lo) since last june and
my last two periods came early - I still
had 2 to 3 hormonal pills to take when I
got it. Not sure if this is normal or an
indication that the pill might not be
strong enough for me. I still have two
hormonal pills left to take in my pack, so
it's way too early to test... Sorry this
is long and rambling! I'm a "perfect pill
user," not on antibiotics, and not
overweight. What pill were you on and did
you have anthing like an early period in
the months preceding your pregnancy?

actually I didn't notice a change in my
cycle until I was 3 months pregnant, I
took the pill the whole time, not knowing
I was pregnant. So no there wasn't a
change/early cycles. See I put my
husband on the "pill" too because we
didnt' really want kids but welcomed them
if we got preggers. We love to travel.
But anyway he was better at reminding me
to take it than I was. He would bring it
to me before he got in the shower
everymorning. He made a little shelf on
our vanaty mirror to slide the case on so
you couldn't forget it while brushing your
teeth.
So no, there was no change.

Thanks for replying. My boyfriend is
freaking out about the possibility of me
being pregnant, but it's a few days too
early to test. However, by this time last
month and the month before I already had
my period... I'm nervous because we had
sex a lot this month and one night after
taking my pill I threw up in the middle of
the night and am not sure if I had
digested it fully... Ahh, guess we'll
see. Other than that, i've just been
feeling very dizzy lately.

Hello there! No one here can tell you if
you are or are not pregnant, we are not
drs. Your body goes through changes in
your lifetime. Most pregnancy's are
different. Heck, I pee alot and I am not
pregnant and have pretty much always have
and I do not have a uti and I do my
exercises. You can get pregnant on the
pill or practically any b/c device and I
am definitely not saying not to use them.
I got pregnant on the pill and the condom
once, figure that one out, no, it is just
that some females are more fertile than
others. Their was a certain time in my
life where I really wanted to get
pregnant, we tried and tried and then quit
trying and then I ended up pregnant.
Good luck to those that are not preg., are
preg., and are trying to be preg.
It is still good to have a place to come
here and talk about it.

I know no one can diagnose things, of
course. I wasn't looking for a diagnosis,
either - I was just curious as to whether
or not other women on here have ever
experienced what I am currently.

Typing messages is so hard isn't it? You
can never truly tell how someone meant
something. The tone doesn't always come
through...
