What Were Your Earliest/nontypical Pregnancy Symptoms?? Posted: 03-14-06 07:37am
Hi everyone. I am in the same boat as
many of you are...Trying to get pregnant
and thinking every month that I am because
"my tummy feels funny" or "i have weird
cramps" or "im eating a lot" or whatever!
When you are really hopeful, you tend to
think everything is a symptom so you go
searching and searching through the
message boards hoping to find someone else
with the same symptom! You know, reading
every post with the subject line of "am I
pregnant?" or "is it possible?" or
"pregnant or not?", etc. So I was
thinking, I would love to find just one
topic and have everyone just write what
their earliest (nontypical) pregnancy
symptoms were. Please only write them if
it turned out that you were or are
pregnant. By nontypical I am referring
to those other than nausea and vomiting,
sore breasts or darkened areolas and a
positive hpt. Lets make this one count!

Right now, im ttc. But I dont know. No
luck yet. Me and my b/f have been trying
for around a month and a half and I dont
know, nothing yet I guess!! Right now, I
dont think I have any symptoms. And if I
do have symptoms, I havent paid attention
to it because I dont want to get my hopes
high for nothing. Ie noticed that I feel
like crying alot and that I get mad and
sad at times on and off. So, I dont know
that non-tipical signs of pregnancy!! I
hope that we both get what we want!! :d

I had headaches from ov.
I had sore breasts but not the 'normal'
kind. One night I had some sharp pains
that only lasted a while...Then a few days
before my period I had sore breasts down
the side only (not the nipple area as most
people say).
I also have a joint condition which is
slightly worse and different pain during
my period. This was bad at ov time and
stayed bad...This was the first time I
thought I could be...
I was sick the week I was due my period
(so very very early sickness - my mum got
this but app to be sick at this stage is
unusual).
I didnt feel ill though as I normally
would when im sick, and it was weird as I
didnt chuck everything up that id eaten,
just some things.
I got a 'cold' after ov, but again it
wasnt like a 'normal' cold, didnt develop
was just there. This seems to be a common
symptom that most dont know about, or
realise.
I also 'felt' pregnant, cant describe it
but I just knew and told a couple of
people I was this time.
Biggest thing for me was I didnt get the
normal symptoms...I only tried for 3
months and the 2 months previous I had
more 'classic' symptoms and I wasnt
pregnant!!

Sweetlee, this is exactly the kind of
thing im hoping to read more of! I hope
more people follow your lead! Thanks for
responding.
As for me, I am now 4 days late but still
don't have the real telling signs. About
5 days b4 my period was due I started
cramping a little which is normal for me.
I also started to get some lower backaches
which I think is normal for me. I can't
remember if I normally get them b4 or
during my period. 2 days b4 due my boobs
got sore which is also normal but I think
they might be worse this time. But now
that im late I have less cramping, a
little here and there, and my boobs are
still sore. I just don't feel like im
getting my period! So im crossing my
fingers and im testing tomorrow morning.

I had really bad cramps on the sunday
night (period was due wed) and again mon
morning, so much so that I thought she was
gonna come early.
Then no pain, then saturday (which was the
day I tested) I was getting a few pains
again and actually said to hubby we had to
go home as I thught she had arrived...Pain
plus I felt wet...Again nothing so I
tested and had a very very faint
line....
Im now about 6 weeks pg but havent had
major period pains like most women say
they get.
Ive had tummy aches but they were more
like the pain you have with trapped
wind.... (which was another symptom I had
- bad wind both bottom end and top end!!)
just thought of another, I had the
'fertile' discharge a few times after ov
and before period due...But ive heard of
people having that and not being pg...I
think it depends what you normally
get...And that wasnt normal for me

ache,its like when you are nervous,my
stomach just feels funny,not really

ezthekid, I have the same thing too!! I
get those pains like when your nervous or
when you need to go to the bathroom. But
only in the mornings. And right now, my
breast really really really hurt!! But
like I said, I dont want to get my hopes
up! So yea, im going to test on april the
1st or on march 30th. So yea, wish me
luck!! :)

I am nearly 6 weeks pregnant and I also
have had those tummy aches....I described
it as the sort of feeling you get when
youre excited but yeah I guess its also
the same as when youre nervous

brand, the one that spells out "pregnant"
or "not pregnant" and I got the "not
pregnant". I am so upset! I am now 5
days late which happens maybe twice a year
to me but because we are now ttc I just
thought it would be too coincidental to
have it late and not be pregnant. My
lower back still hurts a good amount, I do
not have any menstrual cramps but have
cramps in my sides and lower stomache once
in a while, my boobs actually are less
sore than they were the past couple days
but still look about as full as they
normally do when I get my period. But
besides that nothing! I can only hope
that the test was wrong. I have another
one just in case but I do believe that
those tests are really really accurate so
im making peace with the fact that most
likely im not. My husband and I had
already decided that if I did not concieve
this time then we would wait till fall to
start trying again.
Thank you for keeping your fingers crossed
for me. I will keep reading whats added
to this post so please keep writing!

I have been trying for awhile now...After
a loss and yesterday I finally got a
positive hpt!! I think I am still in
shock...
I dont know if this is typical or
not...But I started noticing very strong
orgasms, and that happened before when I
was pregnant...It was one of the first
signs that made me think I was pregnant
again. Also heartburn, gas, a bit more
constipated, and overreacting to
things....
Good luck to those who are trying to
conceive still I know how frustrating it
can be...I lost my baby at 19 1/2 wks last
july and have been ttc again ever
since...
Just like everyone says, when u stop
thinking so much about it it happens... I
finally decided I was sick of putting my
life on hold trying to get pregnant and
enrolled in college...What do you know I
get pregnant the same month!!

I didnt notice stronger orgasm but I
noticed it was really easy for me to get
one....
Was worried at first that it could harm
the baby but ive since read that they say
its good for the baby??? Something to do
with an increase of o2 for them????!!!

Hi,
i thought i'd let you know my symptoms as
well.
I'm sorry you weren't pregnant though,
however, chances are it will happen, I
found whaen I relaxed more it happened!
Anyway, I got painful boobs and severe
pain all down my right side, from under my
arm to my waist, my boob was particularly
sore, infact I was just on the point of
getting worried and going to the doctor,
this lasted from ovulation until just
before I found I was pregnant, then it
totally disappeared, and just had
generally sore boobs.
I felt very sick even before I found I was
pregnant, which then eased off afterwards
and I only felt sick every few days -
never actually being sick.
I got more wind - burping all the time, or
so it seemed.
I had more of a discharge too - clear but
always felt damp!
I always got with every pregnancy a
strange pain in my right groin!!! It sort
of felt like it was pulsating, a friend of
mine said it could have been a varicose
vein as there is more blood in the body.
I also had cold symptoms - infact I ended
up with infected tonsils but didn't
develop into anything.

It took me 5 mounths ttc I stoped trying
and stressing over it and in jan I found
out I was pg and iam 17w5d good luck all
just stop stressing and it will
happen...Wink

I finally had my first a/f about 8 days
ago since I stopped the pill...So today I
noticed a lump of cm that came out of me
when I went to the bathroom
earlier...(sorry if there's t.M.I here.
Lol ), but then again i've felt wet all
day long...And yesterday..
Now...It is not very possible that I would
be already ovulating ...But...I dont know,
i've been tired for the past 3
days..Like...My work production has
decreased and I feel sleepy...And
dragging...
Today I felt some weird sickness on my
tummy...But still...It would be too early
if anything...
I havent tested yet...Though I plan on
it...On saturday (that is if I can help
myself til then! )
but..It is just weird..
Oh well..Good luck ladies..:d
