Narrow Stool? Posted: 03-15-06 00:04am
Hello all, i'm a 33 year old male, and in
the past year I noticed my stool is
narrow. Being completely honest, I never
really paid much attention to it before
that, so I don't really know what it
looked like before. I feel fine, don't
have any other symptoms, i've been to see
my doctor for a physical and blood work in
the past 12 months and everythind looked
good. I don't have any family history of
colon cancer. I do, however, do
competitive bodybuilding and am consuming
alot of protein, my fiber intake is
probably less then 20 grams a day and
that's with 6 meals. I've taken some
psyllium husk powder a few times and my
bowel movements did seem to be more
normal, at least my first bowel movement
of the day. I'm a little confused as to
what to do, and while I don't feel like
going to the doctor and getting a
colonoscopy I don't want to put it off
either. As I said, I feel fine, no other
symptoms or any bleeding, just the narrow
stool. Anyone have any suggestions? I
know that my mother and sister have ibs.
(not too sure exactly what that involves,
but I know it's a bowel disorder)
thanks in advance, i'm not exactly
comfortable talking about stool, but
figured I better seek some advice
i'm 6'2" and 311lbs currently. I'm about
25-30bs overweight.
