A few weeks ago I went into a local clinic
because of an uneasy feeling I had been
having.
I am a 44 yr old man who had a feeling of
things being not quite right.
My blood pressure at my visit was
148/142.
I was given blood pressure meds and sent
on my way and told to follow up with my
own doctor.
The meds have not worked to well and my
own doctor suggested I do a home
oxygen/pulse monitor while I slept.
Its 4.30 am and I just took the monitor
off.
It seemed my oxygen levels in the night
while sleeping were between 77 to 85. Is
this a red flag? I do not see the doctor
again until monday. My heart rate stayed
about 85-90 throughout my sleep.
Any insight to these reading would be
appreciated.

If your oxygen level is truly that low
then it is not good. It really needs to
stay at least within the 90's. I
personally don't think you should have
been sent home if your blood pressure was
148/142. It's never good when the bottom
and top are that close together.
