Vital information:
name- olivia charlotte dartan
time of birth- 1:13 pm
weight- 2lbs 8oz
length- 15.5 inches
natalie asked me to tell you all that
she's doing well, and ended up coming to
terms with the intials .O.C.D (evidently
she mentioned that here?).
Olivia, on the other hand, is in the
.N.I.C.U. She didn't breathe on her own
once she was born, and the doctors were
forced to intubate. The steroids
administered to help her lungs develop
didn't help much, as the pediatric
pulmonologist determined that her lungs
are extremely underdeveloped. According
to the neonatologist, although she was
born at 29 weeks and 1 day, olivia's
chances for survival look extremely slim.

I wish you all the luck in the world
my lil man was in picu for three days
because of rsv and an infection he wasnt
breathing so they had to use cpap its like
forced breathing for them, he was on
feeding tubes and the whole shabang they
didnt know if he would make it(its was
pretty bad I was told worse case is lung
failure) but man this kid is doing better
now (hes a month old.)
anyways I got off topic but I wanted to
give u some hope (some1 told me) kids have
this major will to live and its shocking
just keep talking to ur lil one and let
her know ur there and ill say a prayer for
miss.Olivia good luck

Another message from natalie (i was
brought to tears as I typed this):
i have never been more afraid in my entire
life. I didn't even get to see liv after
she was born, since they rushed her off to
the .N.I.C.U. They wheeled me in to see
her, and she was so tiny, and vulnerable,
and I couldn't do anything about it.
She's my daughter, and she's fighting for
her life, and I can't do anything to help
her.
Then the monitors went off. I got pushed
out of the way by the doctors and nurses
and they started yelling a whole bunch of
stuff that I didn't understand. And
that's when they told me that I didn't
need to see anymore and I had to leave. I
still can't believe they made me leave.
How can .God do this to my daughter, who
hasn't done anything to deserve this? I
get discharged tomorrow night/saturday
morning. Olivia doesn't.

Awwww... I'm sry you haven't hardly got
to see your baby.I am a strong christian
and I believe that god has a plan for her,
and it may not make sense and you may be
mad at him right now...But he knows what
he's doing and you just have to leave it
in his hands.

Hi everyone, it's me. I discovered that
my hospital has a "family center" with
internet access (obviously) so I came to
update. The .N.I.C.U's visiting hours
are over, and I have enough morphine so
that i'm not feeling anything. It's not
like there's anything else I can do right
now. That, and i'm sick of the pitying
looks from the nurses when they come in
and check my vitals. It's not even an
"i'm sorry your baby's sick" look, it's
one of those "sixteen and pregnant. Tsk
tsk tsk." looks that I hate. I'd like to
thank my aunt carole for coming and
posting for me earlier today and
yesterday.
Olivia still isn't doing well. I finally
got to go see her again, and she doesn't
even look like a real baby. It's like
she's a plastic doll or something. This
is all so surreal. I keep looking down
and expecting to see my baby belly, and
it's not there. I am a mother. If she
makes it through this, for the rest of my
life, I will be the one she looks up to,
the one she looks to for guidance. Her
little life will be in my hands!
I checked the pregnancy forum a minute or
so ago, and in one of my posts I was
worried about being overdue. I would
.K.I.L.L to be overdue, just for the sake
of my little girl.
I think i'm going to go to bed now. I
don't care that it's 7:30.

Don't accuse her of being a fake until
there's nore evidence. I knwo what she's
going through and if she isn't a fake then
it is one of the hardest things. Sorry to
