Is Abdominal Pressure Associated With Kidney Stones? Posted: 03-16-06 17:35pm
Ive been diagnosed with a kidney stone for
which ive had lithotripsy a few days
ago...They first found 1 stone trapped in
the upper ureter but the newer xrays
during my lithotripsy procedure showed
nothing blocking the ureter any longer but
a stone inside the kidney instead, which
is what they treated...I am now waiting to
pass the fragments (less than 4mm).
My biggest complaint to my doctors over
the last 2 weeks however was not extreme
pain, but instead I have alot of
generalized abdomial pressure/bloating and
sometimes a burning feeling in the
abdomin.
This has kept from being able to wear
pants, belts, etc...The only way to make
it feel better is to lay down...Sitting
tends to make it flare up bad enough that
I have to lay down again for quite awhile.
It has caused me to have to stay home
from work as im a driving instructor and
cant sit in the car and teach like this.
Is this extreme bloatiness and pressure
normally associated with kidney
stones...Even though the stone isnt
causing blockage any longer?
Im getting frustrated to know how to get
rid of this so I can get back to work..Its
like trying to fit a 36 inch waist into a
28 inch belt.
