Beginning to Feel Down... Posted: 03-16-06 18:33pm
Hey everyone,
just needed a place to vent. My hubby
and I have been ttc for about 8 months
now, and no luck. It's really starting
to bring me down, that month after month,
right on time, af shows up. I know the
days that I ovulate (well, according to
all the ovulation calenders that I have
used on the net), and we bd every other
day during my fertile time, yet still
we're unsuccessful. I think that this
month is a write-off too (af is due on
sunday, I have no symptoms of being
preg.)
i've seen my doctor and she keeps saying
all is fine, that it shouldn't be too much
longer before I conceive. It doesn't
help that everyone around me (at my
workplace) are getting preg. And I keep
hearing "it just happened, we weren't even
trying"
anyone in the same situation as me?
Anyone have any comforting words, advice
or anything? I need some reassurance,
i'm starting to loose faith.
Thanks ladies....

U Can Do This..... Posted: 03-16-06 20:02pm
Hey babyblue gal,
dun be pulled down by all this, people are
people n they will go on saying things
that might not be intentionally pointing
on u, but it upsets or hurts u
indirectly.
For eg: a teen pregnant gal will never
pass through a street without being stared
at, becoz she is supposed to be in school
n not carrying a baby instead of book...
Another eg: a lady ttc for years will get
to be pitied by people around her.
According to people, u r trying or
married, u should be getting a child soon
or else there is something wrong with u.
People r just waiting to laugh at u, so r
u going to let them get to u.........
No...No...No........... U r much stronger
than all this mere words...
Women r mentally and emotionally strong.
Be happy and relax...
ok, now lets get alittle serious about ur
ttc.....
Possible reasons u r trying n not
successful:
1) stress/depression
2) irregular period
3) not ovulating
4) sperm quality and count
5) weak womb
6) egg quality
7) obese/health problems
8) timing sex
ok, things u could do now:
1) talk to ur doctor about checking ur
womb and egg quality
2) if ur cleared, then talk to ur
husband/bf to do a sperm check too
3) if all is cleared, use basal
temperature charting/ovualtion
testers/ovulex or other fertility
pills/folic acid or vitamins to boost up
ur immune system
4) if still after 6 months to a year,
still no news, talk to ur doc about
fertility treatments like iui or ivf...
but I wish u all the best & lots of
baby dust to get pregnant soon. I am also
trying for baby #1 for 14months now after
a miscarriage. I just found out in last
december that I have pcos and am taking
clomid and metformin to help me regularise
my period and ovulate with good eggs. So
it's not easy, but I am not giving
up........ I have also been through a
horrible emotional ride...... I have
gotten myself out of the misery and so
will u...
Good luck! Just remember, we r here for
u.........U r not alone.
