I didn't...I'm really sad about it...I wanted too but it was just to much pain for me, lol. I ended up taking the epidural right away. I'm not sure if I would have been able to handle it better and go natural if it didn't progress so fast.

But it was pretty good, I got to the hospital around 4-4:30 and was 7 cm and by 10 to 8 I was fully dilated. I pushed for 2 hours and then the babies heart rate started to dip a bit so they used the vaccume to help speed things along.

Girl she's precious!!! I'm loving the fit!!

I swear she defines chubby cheeks!!!

I'm glad everyone is having such large babies!! Maybe it'll pass on to me!! I'm cramming myself with folic acid to make her grow! And my prenatal increases birth weight.....Maybe I should slow down!!

Congratualtions!!!

Ps...If you don't mind me asking...Did that have to perform and episiotomy or did everything go fine? That's just one of the reasons why going natural is making me nervous.

Omg!!! She is soooo cute!!! I got tears in my eyes just lookin' at the pics! I'm so happy for you!!!

Oh...Don't feel bad about not going natural. Most women opt to get the epidural and there's no shame in not liking pain! You obviously did a great job!!! Congrats!!!

i did have to have an episiotomy I tore into my rectal spynxter (sp?) and they said it was a third-degree rip (which the nurse told me today is actually pretty bad) but I don't really notice it too much. I am pretty swollen and I notice that more. But it is a tolerable pain...Lol.

Kimmeh...
Is the "epidural" the injection that they put in ur spine? If so, is it painfull when they put it? Do u feel it? Because ive seen some pictures of it and the needle is huge!!!

Yeah the epidural is the spinal one. It didn't hurt at all, the only thing that I felt was the needle that numbs you, but I was in so much pain with everything else that I really didn't care, lol. I am not sure of the size of the needle I was facing the other direction. Lol. I was like you and totally didn't want it and the idea of a needle in my spine totally put me off, but it wasn't as bad as I thought.

Does It....
Does it really work? (the epidural) do u feel less pain or what? Or does it take away the entire pain. Does it make labor better with the epidural?

I was in sooo much pain and it took it all away except for the pressure (which isn't really pain, just really uncomfortable) and I had him come give me another dose to help get rid of that...So by the time she actually made her entrance I couldn't really too much, and there was no pain. It was really great.
