What's the earliest you can have a preemie and have it survive? Anyone here have a preemie? How small do they get?

About 23-24 weeks is the bare minimum and unfortunatly their chance for survival is like 1% or less at that point. Every week counts for so much. Like even though it's only a few weeks a baby born at like 26 or 27 weeks has a far far greater chance for survival then one born at 23 or 24.

I have a link to a 23 weeks baby, weighed 1 lb 7 oz---here is the link

http://news.Bbc.Co.Uk/2/h i/uk_news/england/manchester/3569563.Stm

remember no caps in this link--the .S in stm needs to be changed--then it will work

only 1 in 6 survive at this young age.
