Q: New Here And Confused... Please Help!

I was supposed to start my period dec. 31st but it still hasn't come yet. Before I was even late I started feeling nauseous, bloated, extremely tired, some breast tenderness, and cravings for bacon. Normally before I start my period I get cramps the week before and horrible pms attitude ( I hate being around myself during...) anyways, I had cramps but not as bad as normal and they just come and go once or twice a day just for a minute or so. My abdomen has been feeling heavy and there is a little tenderness down there. I have taken a few hpt and I got bfn's every time. Could it just be too early to tell or maybe i'm not producing a lot of hcg yet? Any thoughts would be helpful. And sorry for the long post. :d

First of all how old are you? Depending on your age.....If you are young meaning under 20...It could be your body changing......Could also mean pregancey better to go get the blood test done then to leave it.....Even if you get your peroid...As you can still be with child and have your peroid...Here's where the rule of thumb comes in...." better to be safe then sorry"

I'm 20. I've had regular periods since I was 14. I will wait to get the blood test. How long should you wait? I've heard so many different things.

I would say that if you are late on your period, a urine test should be showing as positive if you are pregnant. You could get a blood test now if you wanted. Call your doctor and request an order for a blood test. Blood test usually detect hcg mor accurately than those urine tests. Goodluck!

Well you know to find out this pregnancy, I went thru 4 pregnancy test to find out that I was preggers, my last period was on nov 1st on dec 03 I went in for a preg test and it came backnegative I went back on dec 7 and still neg, then went back on dec 15 and still neg, finally I went back in on dec 23 and there it was it was positive!! My symptoms were a whole lot of breast tenderness, I couldnt even hug anyone, of course no periods, or signs of it, and very tired and sleepy often but I have had no nausea or anything else, depending on the person you could go up to 6 weeks without a positive results because for some people it takes longer to build up as many hcg's for it to show in the urine. A blood test should be able to detect if your preggers within a couple of days of conception! Good luck I hope that you find out soon!!

Dont Count Anything Out
I went three months before I found out I was pregnant. I had a period that was sort of abnormal but I took birth control a couple months before that so I didn't really think anything of it. I went in for an annual checkup and that's when I found out. So, if you are worried I could be for a reason so see your doctor.

When you said you didn't test positive for a month were those hpt, doctors urine tests or blood tests?
