Asthma Or Outta Shape Or Anxiety Posted: 03-17-06 14:22pm
I dont know the anxiety is messing with me
I dont know if I got asmtha or its the
anxiety.I used to work out a little for 6
months last winter take walk and pump a
bit of weight I stopped several months ago
when I started getting attacks.
Anwyas now I feel like I should have more
breath.I notice ever little detail I go
for a 10 minute walk im not huffing and
puffing but my heart beats a little bit
faster but I feel it shoulnt. Some times
when I talk a lot specialy at bars where I
have to talk louder I see to get outta
breath or lose it ( not huff and puff) but
still .My anxiety says its asthma but my
rational side says my breathing patterns
are probbaly messed up because of the
anxiety and I dont even notice or I do
notice and then get anxious about it who
knows...

I get the exact same thing. It freaks me
out which makes my anxiety worse and then
I really feel like I can't breathe. I've
found ever since I started getting anxiety
and panic that my breathing pattern is
really screwed up and that I tense up my
stomach muscles and do not take in enough
air. For exammple, ever since I started
the panic i've been afraid to exercise cuz
i'm afraid my heart is gona beat to fast
its gona conk out. So even at school when
I have to climb the 4 flights of stairs
twice a week I get scared and I start to
panic and then I feel like I can't
breathe. But one time I was distracted
cuz I was thinking about sumthin else and
I was breathing normally and I climbed the
stairs no problem and I was a little bit
tired when I got up there cuz i'm horribly
out of shape but I could still breathe
fine and I wasn'tt panicked. Anxiety can
really f**k u up!
