Sudden Dookey Problems...
Posted: 03-17-06 15:04pm

Ok...This is odd. Throughout my entire pregnancy i've experience constipation because of my prenatals and just nature. I eat lots of fiber to keep me regular. It balances itself out to give me the perfoct bowel movement. (.T.M.I I know!)
but anyways, since last monday, i've had diarrehea. It's not constant, so i'm not worrying about dehydration. Like, when I go, i'm expecting rocks over anything, lol, but instead I get runs. It's crazy.

Has anyone esle experience diarrhea this late in their pregnancy with no prior incidents?

You might think about calling and talking to your dr or his assistant or nurse or the person on call about this one as you can become dehydrated or at least your pharmacist and let them know that you are pregnant. I know that wal-mart has some anti-diahlreah(sp) over the counter that works good but I do not know if it is ok if you take it when you are preg.
It could just be a bug that might be going around.
Good luck!

I'm not complaining about it cuz it's better than being constipated. I only dookey once a day..(if i'm lucky) and instead of it being hard, (like normal) it's soft. Maybe I ate something bad and it's still effecting me?!?! Oh lord, tomorrow i'll def. Call my .Dr office just to see what they say about all of a suddent dookey texture change. They'll prob. Laugh at me, but i'm sure they've heard worse!!!

Do you have any other symptoms besides the runs? Sometimes in late pregnancy the runs can indicate labor or the onset of soon to be labor

Well an update on the dookey....Everything is flowing normally now! Lol...It's the perfect consistency!! Not to hard, not to soft. I started to eat cheeses and dairy products to harden my stool and it worked. I'm following that with lots of fiber.

I guess it was just something I ate. I went to a crawfish boil a day or 2 before the runs started. It was probably the seasonings they put in it...
