Does Raspberry Leaf Tea Really Work?

I read that drinking raspberry leaf tea can help a woman become pregnant. Has anyone tried this? Does it work?

I heard the same thing, but I really dislike tea so I never tried it.

Raspberry leaf tea should be avoided before the last few weeks of pregnancy as it is a uterine tonic. Therefore it would not be advisable to take it after ovulation.

There is no evidence that it actually works. And it tastes foul, although not like normal black tea.

After a little research, I found out that it is known (though not exactly proven) to tone the uterine muscles. Some doctors say it's safe to drink thoughout pregnancy. Some say it's not safe during the first part of pregnancy because it may cause miscarriage and some doctors say it can help make labor easier if used during the last trimester because it tones the uterus.

As far as the taste, it's supposed to taste similar to black tea.

What I had read about it earlier when I made my first post was that it could help with ovulation, but I can't find where I read that at. So I still don't know if it helps or hinders while ttc.
