Pain During Penetration- Help Posted: 03-18-06 10:21am
Every since I started having sex (3 months
ago) its been uncomfortable to penetrate
no matter how turned on I am. I have no
problems with being lubricated enough, I
think its my hymen. Is it possible for
the hymen to get in the way even though I
have sex every week? I've heard before it
is completely broke but just strectched
out.
I'm wondering if mine is a little messed
up.
I'm not really stressed about this- just
looking for some support!

No I wouldn't worry. Sometimes it depends
on position. Try being on top so you can
control it to see if it'll lessen the
pain. Also if he is completely in it can
hurt no matter how big he is...I don't
know why, it's just from experience.
I wouldn't worry about not being normal,
it took me almost a year before it stopped
hurting.

I don't think it's the hymen causing you
pain... If you only recently started
having sex with anyone that of course it's
gonna hurt for awhile, depending on the
amount of times you have sex (the more
often you have it, the less it will tend
to hurt).
I had the same problem after I first
started having sex and what I did was I
started using larger-size tampons for
awhile... And it worked. I used them
every day for a week before I tried having
sex again and believe it or not, the next
time I did, it only hurt during the second
he was first inside me and then it
stopped.

On top is too much pain. I can't even
start on top.
I've been having sex for 3 months now and
half the time the pentration still feels
like i'm just losing my virginity.
But thanks for the advice, it will
probably go away with time.

If you are tense and expecting pain then
you will be more likely to tense up more,
so it will hurt more. Try breathing
exercises to relax you and try exploring
your lady bits on your own, so you have
total control. Also, try using additional
lubricant and if that doesn't help might
be worth seeing a Dr.

I'm pretty sure it will go away with
time... It's like this for most girls I
think.

I have been having sex for three years
with the same guy and on top is so painful
and so is doggy style, i've almost cried
during sex. More often then not the noise
i'm making is of uncomfortableness than
pleasure. Is it a fine line between
please and pain or should I really be
seeing a doctor. After three years you
would think I would be naturally relaxed
but even drunk it still hurts, so i'm
thinking it may be more physically a
problem. I have been to a doctor and she
did some swabs, I have no infection and
eveything looked alright but can something
be unseen and still be wrong? I would
really like to have pleasurable sex, not
even an orgasm just with no
uncomfortability. I just thought it was
normal to have to slightly uncomfortable.
I'm losing interest in it because it's not
that great but I still have urges.

Maybe seeing a gynecologist would help?

Sh5nton I feel your pain!!!
I could care less about orgasms at this
point.
I wish I didn't have to constantly move
around to find a part where theres no
pain.
I have recently found that having sex
sitting up is helpful and more
pleasurable.
This may sound strange too but last time I
had sex I didn't go pee right before like
I usually do and there was less pain. (i
don't its related but i'm trying
anything!)
unfornately for me, there are few
positions that offer no pain, he has to be
angled right and at the right depth (which
usually isn't deep enough for him :(

Aww. Reading this makes me sad. I am
relived I am not the only one who
experiences this stuff!
I ahve been to my gyn countless numbers of
times because of this pain during
penetration unless in missonary but also
if he is deep.
I have only had sex with my 1 boyfriend
and he hadn't had sex for a long time
before me and him..I dont think I have
chylmidia cuz my paps come back okay anbd
the docs say I dont have infection.
But I have lost all interest in any sexual
activity and I tense up and back off and
make excuses
as well as cry sometimes due to
frustration,fear,pain and fights caused by
this pain.
Could it be the fact my cervix is tilted?
Or could it be a yi I didn't notice?? Or
any type of infection???
I hate this in the dark type of info im
left @ so please respond

Yeah it's pretty damn frustrating. It's
easy to say don't get discouraged but
after three years of average uncomfortable
sex i'm starting to not be bothered at
all. I'm 20 and these are supposed to be
the best years of my life. Aaarrg! On
the side hurts a little less, him right
behind you with your legs squeezed
together. Let me know if you get any
answers.
